India Trade centre (ITC) is a privately owned consulting firm specialising in promoting trade between Australia, foreign countries and India in terms of joint ventures, technology transfer, exports, imports and Trade Exhibitions.

ITC, with its office located in Melbourne's Central Business District, was formed in 1988 and is a leading firm in Australia facilitating trade between the two countries. Our clients include manufacturers, professionals, service providers, importers and exporters. They range from large multinational corporations down to small businesses and sole traders. In servicing a wide spectrum of businesses, ITC has gained considerable experience and insight into marketing strategy. Our experience is both diversified and broad.

Nana Laxman, the Principal of ITC

Nana Laxman, the Managing Director of ITC, has over 30 years of hands on business experience in dealings with India. With his rich and varied business experience, Nana is best suited to assist many big and small Australian businesses to overcome the intricate and often difficult ways of dealing with India. For many who have never dealt with India before he extends his years of experience and insight to make business dealings with India a great success. Several letters of thanks and appreciation from ITC's clients are testimony to the highest standard of services offered. The client list includes major banks, universities, large corporate and medium to small businesses.

Nana represented the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, to promote various Indian Textile products for a period of two years during 1996-98. He interacted with eight Export Promotion Councils - Synthetic and Rayon, Silk, Wool, Cotton, Jute, Handloom, Handicraft and Apparels.

Nana was the Vice President of the Australia India Chamber of Commerce Inc., Victoria, for a three year term. He has also served as President of the Gujarati Association of Victoria, Inc. for a two-year term till May 2001.

In February 2002, the government of the United Republic of Tanzania appointed Nana Laxman as Honorary Consul with jurisdiction over the states of Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.
